A threaded rod is a type of a fastening bar which is relatively long and threaded on both the ends of the rod. The threading on the ss acme threaded rod may be extended up to the entire length of the rod. The is also known as a stud by ss threaded rod manufacturers.The ss316 threaded rod is designed to be used in tension. In a bar stock form, the m12 stainless steel threaded rod is often called an all-thread.
Generally produced from cold-rolled stainless steel grades, the ss 304 threaded rod is known to offer enhanced mechanical properties along with improved physical features. For example the 316 stainless steel threaded rod offers a higher degree of surface finish than machine-cut threads, uniform accuracy and increased strength. In addition to these properties the cost of this ss threaded rod is low.The m12 stainless steel threaded rod can be classified into 3 categories depending upon their application.
Fully Threaded Stud Bolts – The body of these threaded rods are fully covered by threads and hence are utilized for its engagement to the mating of nuts or similar fasteners.Tap End Stud Bolts – the extreme ends of the body of the Tap End Stud Bolts are threaded with an unequal thread engagement length.Double End Stud Bolts – These rods have equal thread length at both ends.
The 316 stainless steel threaded rod can be used in combination with standard nuts and washers. The length of these threaded rods can be either cut as per standard stock lengths or cut to the length as required by the customer .
