A pneumatic tool, air tool, air-powered tool or pneumaticpowered tool is a type of power tool, driven by compressed air supplied by an air compressor. Pneumatic tools can also be driven by compressed carbon dioxide (CO2) stored in small cylinders allowing for portability.

Most pneumatic tools convert the compressed air to work using a pneumatic motor. Compared to electric power tool equivalents, pneumatic tools are safer to run and maintain, without risk of sparks, short-circuiting or electrocution, and have a higher power to weight ratio, allowing a smaller, lighter tool to accomplish the same task. Furthermore, they are less likely to self-destruct in case the tool is jammed or overloaded.

Specification of Pneumatic tool

  • Air Pressure : 0.5 – 0.7 Mpa (71-100 psi)
  • Tool Weight : 2 kgs
  • Overall length : 221 mm
  • Tool Width : 116 mm
  • Tool Height : 130 mm
  • Strap Material : Polyester
  • Strap width : 13 to 19 mm
  • Strap thickness :Heavy Gauge : 1.0-1.6 mm, Conventional : 0.8 – 0.9 mm, Light Gauge : 0.5 – 0.7 mm

Cutter Unit:

  • The heavy duty cutter consists of stationary cutter and moving cutter.
  • Designed for strap that has 0.5 – 1.6 mm of thickness.

Friction cutter:

  • Optional frictional cutter unit can be used for light – weight guage polyester strap that has 0.5 to 0.7 mm thickness

Overhead suspension:

The CNIP-19 can be suspended in various positions by using the proper tool hanger (top sealing, horizontal sealing and vertical sealing).

Air pressure requirements:

The CNIP-10 tool is operated by compressed air ranging from 72 to 100 psi (6.0 to 7.0 Bar)

Installation if Air supply:

A Filter regulator lubricator unit must be installed as close to the air tool as possible.

The air hose must have at lest a 6.35 mm (1/4”) ID.

A quick disconnect socket fitting must be installed end of the hose.

Moisture:

Every branch should have a water leg at its lowest point with a drain cock which is drained daily.

Lubrication:

The air motor must be properly lubricated.

This is achieved by keeping the air line lubricator filled with oil and correctly adjusted.
